The two elected officials below, LaTourette and Voinovich, thought it was OK to completely trash our 4th Amendment by voting "YES" for the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 (H.R. 6304) which gives Bush the unlawful authority to use electronic surveilance to listen in on all communication (cell and home phones, e-mails, faxes, etc.) in the name of "TERRORISM", without first obtaining a warrant as the 4th Amendment clearly states.....without giving exception to this !! If you call their offices you will be told they have a strong commitment to protect you and country from "TERRORISM". We all know, as history shows, that it is impossible for any government to protect anyone from "TERRORISM". Just look at some countries around the world that have military troops at the airports, schools, public buildings, all over the streets, etc., and are still plagued with bombings and other forms of terrorism. History also shows us that the biggest "TERRORISTS" have always been the peoples own leaders. Bush is using "TERRORISM" as a never ending and unidentifiable reason to steal our Constitutional rights from us little by little. I must admit.....it is brilliant !.....but in an evil way ! We cannot fall for these tricks that have been used down thru history. Benjamin Franklin once said that if you are willing to give up rights and freedoms in exchange for government protection.....YOU DESERVE NEITHER !! There is still time to do something.....the ACLU has filed a suit against the government. Please take time to contact these two people and EXPRESS YOUR OUTRAGE ! Tell them how many votes they have lost besides yours.....family, friends etc. Both of these men (if you want to call them that) have violated their oath of office, betrayed us, and committed treason when they did this, after swearing to GOD with hand on Bible, to protect our constitutional rights !!!! It doesn't take much time to do this. The price of freedom is constant vigilance. If you are not willing to be vigilant then you will have no right to complain when your freedom is gone. Also write "letters to the editor" of all the papers about this. THANK YOU !
P.S. LaTourette has also introduced a bill (The Community Relief and Fuel Efficiency Act of 2008) which will give your tax money to commuters, driving to and from work, paying for part of their gas. I thought our government was not allowed to allocate public money to private individuals for such reasons. What will they think of next ?

As stated on Voinovich website under Issues and Legislation:
" America faces an unprecedented challenge in this war, but Senator Voinovich believes our foreign policy must reflect our founding principles of freedom, equality and justice. By sharing our deep commitment to liberty, democracy, economic development and freedom of religion, Americans can help secure their future and improve the lives of millions of people around the world."
After voting to trash the 4th Amendment, this is kind of contradictory, don't you think ?
Thank you all for your help.
